With the Summer education rush now over and reflecting on what we achieved I think I can safely say that without exception we kept everybody happy and albeit some last minute on all the projects, over 20 separate ones in total, we’re completely ready for the schools to start again. It’s never easy to cram all the work we do in (over £1.5m worth) and there are always a few we slip in, but we do. Taking breath, we turn ourselves back to where we were: Carrying on with projects that ran through the summer such as St Johns Redhill – see out Facebook page, Rochester House (10 flats nearing completion), Claremont Rd (new vets consulting rooms and reception) and starting new projects. These include 3 Creswell Park (basement flat refurbishment) The Mayhew Animal Centre ( laundry Room & Cat Kitchen refurb) and a few for the future, Woking High School new Classroom and Craggy Island Climbing Centre (restaurant refurb) when we finally get a start date from the clients.
We are tendering hard with 5 tenders having gone out this month and are already actively marketing for new projects and clients in striving to expand our base and turnover. It is often forgotten how much in value we do in 6-8 weeks and then the rest of the year we cruise along. Our Education bias does not rest however, as we start assisting clients and schools with budgets for Academy bids for next year, ever hopeful that whilst speculative, they will be successful. In the meantime we are trying to keep the momentum going ready for 2017.
